HANDMADE FROM FULL-GRAIN ITALIAN CALF LEATHER
Azure Blue is the Molont signature — the colour that started the brand and the one you won't find anywhere else. Deep enough to wear with navy tailoring, distinctive enough to get asked about. The double monk strap gives it the character of a proper dress shoe; the slip-on construction and rubber sole make it something you can actually wear from a 9am meeting to a late train home.
Each pair is hand-lasted in Almansa, Spain — a town that has made shoes for four generations — from full-grain calf leather selected hide by hide in northern Italy. Around 40 hours of work goes into every pair.

40 hours of handcraft. Every pair.
Filmed inside our workshop in Almansa, Spain. What you're watching is the shoe you're about to buy, at the stage before it became yours.
Every pair starts with a hide selected by hand in northern Italy and ends 40 hours later in Almansa, Spain.

We use full-grain calf leather from six tanneries in northern Italy — the same region that supplies Hermès and Berluti. Full-grain means the top layer of the hide is kept intact. It is the most durable, most beautiful, and most honest cut of leather you can use.
Lasting is the process of stretching the leather upper over a last — the foot-shaped mould that determines the final shape of the shoe. At our atelier in Almansa, this is done by hand. Each pair is shaped, stretched, and set by a craftsman who has been doing it for years.
Five stages. Forty hours. One pair.
Almansa is a small city in Castile-La Mancha that has been making shoes for 500 years. Our atelier produces approximately 200 pairs a month. They are not a factory. They are a workshop that happens to be very good at what they do.
