HANDMADE FROM PREMIUM ITALIAN SUEDE
The only suede shoe in the range — and suede changes everything. Softer underfoot from day one, more relaxed in character, and made for the months when black calf feels too heavy. Rich brown Italian suede with hand-attached tassels and a white rubber sole. The texture does the work; you just wear it.
Hand-lasted in Almansa, Spain. Suede asks slightly more of its owner — a suede brush and a water repellent spray will keep it looking right for years.

40 hours of handcraft. Every pair.
Filmed inside our workshop in Almansa, Spain. What you're watching is the shoe you're about to buy, at the stage before it became yours.
Every pair starts with a hide selected by hand in northern Italy and ends 40 hours later in Almansa, Spain.

We use full-grain calf leather from six tanneries in northern Italy — the same region that supplies Hermès and Berluti. Full-grain means the top layer of the hide is kept intact. It is the most durable, most beautiful, and most honest cut of leather you can use.
Lasting is the process of stretching the leather upper over a last — the foot-shaped mould that determines the final shape of the shoe. At our atelier in Almansa, this is done by hand. Each pair is shaped, stretched, and set by a craftsman who has been doing it for years.
Five stages. Forty hours. One pair.
Almansa is a small city in Castile-La Mancha that has been making shoes for 500 years. Our atelier produces approximately 200 pairs a month. They are not a factory. They are a workshop that happens to be very good at what they do.
